It was Sudbury's first loss of the season. They came to Saginaw as one of two team who were undefeated. The other team was Windsor, but Windsor also lost last night.

Spirit played good enough to win last night. Nothing flashy for sure, they seemed to control play for 2/3 of the game. Goaltending was good on both sides. Pasquale gave up a bad one from just inside the blue line that I bet he'd want back, but he had about 6 dozen players in front of him at the time (or it seemed like it anyway), so I am guessing he didn't see it, but only he knows for sure. He did have some pretty nice saves throughout the game tho & was named the #2 star. I thought Szwartz had a great game again, and Murovich is just so dang quick out there. Noticed Plecatis sticking his nose in there a lot, and Jarusek stood out to me as well. There were plenty of sloppy plays out there by the defense (Comrie had an off game, IMO), but it was a good game overall. A win is a win.

John Kisil was not behind the bench nor I believe in the building. Anyone know why?

I noticed that Comrie did not see the ice in the 3rd period he was on the bench and skated off with the team after the game- hope he is not hurt. A couple of the posters are absent from posting after the win last night- wonder why maybe nothing negative to write about? ? I thought that all players played a fairly spirited game. Barry Sanderson and Swarz stood out all night with their hustle. Pasquale came up with the big save when needed like any good goalie is supposed to do- give your team a chance to win. Good to see Crawford and Brodie back together the puck seems to move out of our end better and faster when they are together.

I noticed that Comrie did not play in the 3rd, but I think it was because he was awful for the first two periods.

I have only watched three of games this year and found that the line combinations are changing night to night and sometimes shift to shift. This type of feeling out is good for both players and coaches, speed, reading plays, chemistry, strengths and weakness can all be assessed early in the season. New systems, breakouts, defensive responsibility, all must be learned so that the new players can get comfortable with new line mates. In the Sudbury game I think I can see chemistry with the line centered by Bochek. Puck support was good on the PP and they brake out of the zone well. Much improved from the game with the hounds. The slow start to the schedule will work in our favor and I look for good things to happen in the near future.

I also liked the line with Bochek-Chappell-Allicock. Nice to see that size up front!

In that game, T.J. was absolutely dominant, largely because he rushed the puck so well. He is very effectively doing so again this season. Can't wait to see him get even better in this important aspect of the game.

Speaking for myself, I wasn't at the game due to a prior committment. and I'm loathe to comment on things I'haven't seen. But I'll try to make up something negative if you want............

Well the good news is that there is positive news coming soon.. Hopefully we can all look forward to heading in the right direction and that should make everyone on here happy, because I'm sure that's what most of us want.

Talk about just trying to get something going....
So sorry to disappoint.
I'm happy they are 3-2.
It's great for the kids. Heaven forbid we're honest and objective.
