Uhh...is it me or does it seem like the Spirit need to PUSH UP to PUSH a goal IN. They are always scattered, sometimes not getting the rebound.

Does anyone else think we really need to get rid of Daniels while the year is young? He is so unreliable, you never know what he is going to do.

Honestly in some ways I think this team may be better than last year's, because last year I often had the sense that we tried to win on talent alone, rather than based on hard work. On paper we were probably the most talented team in the league, but it all depends on the on-ice performances. We had flashes of briallinace and what could have been (beating Plymouth on the road 6-2 and beating Guelph on the road 7-2), but we just couldn't get it together come crunch time.

In my humble opinion.....I have said that this years team would be better than most thought, even before I saw Murovich/Schwarz/et al which only made me more confident as they are real players but, last years team was so superior to this year's team at this point. Sure this year's addition plays hard but don't let Mr. Hartsburg fool you. He selected Pyatt and O'Marra on Team Canada and looked at McNeill and Bass. He also saw last years addition of Mursak and Zoborsky play with their respective teams. I'm sure Coach Hartsburg's heart is in the right place but you can't tell me he would rather face Pyatt/O'Marra/McNeill instead of the young (soon to be stars) we have now!

acin - did you even watch the game? i cant even believe you would even put this on daniels.

i got back around 2:30 in the morning..made the trip with a friend. I actually thought he played alright. The score I thought could of been alot worse. And to top it all off, fans in my section from the soo said they felt sorry for him. speicifically there fan said "i feel sorry for him, hes a great goalie, hes gotten no help both times hes been up here." The soo fans are pretty knowledgeable, i think that says alot.

Simply put, they score on there powerplay, we dont. Or other way around they shut our powerplay down and we dont stop theres. There was 2 different spirit teams tonight... the first period and the second and third.

take that for what its worth... its pretty honest

Your second observation was the correct one: They shut out our powerplay and we don't theirs.

Our powerplay has been good this season, scoring a lot of necessary goals. We'll have blowouts this year, such as this one. It happens every year. Let's take it out on the Colts tonight. haha.
