Lepera didn't start last weekend with a 3 in 3. What makes you think he will start tonight?
Maybe Ryan Daniels is in town and gets the start.

3-0, and it wasn't that close. A real stinker--easily the worst game the Spirit have played this year. The entire team was invisible. The PK was good. That's the only positive I can think of. Hopefully it is out of their systems and tomorrow's another night. Were the Spirit invisible? or is barrie a much more talented team and we witnessed how our guys stack up to the elite in the league?

Barrie is most probably a better team than the Spirit. But MUCH more talented?? No. I think it was don johnson that said the first period was good hockey, and he was correct. But even then, the Spirit were getting outworked--Barrie was winning battles on the boards, first to the puck, and Saginaw exhibited none of the physical play we have seen so far this season. Once Barrie shook off their bus legs, and Saginaw started to get frustrated by Hutchinson, it went downhill from the

Sparky, I think it's a little of both. There is no question Barrie is one of the best teams in the east if not the best. Saginaw has a pretty fast team but up until now they haven't played a team who is faster than they were. The pace in the first period was the fastest we have seen this season. Saginaw looked just a little flat footed but that may very well be because of Barrie's team speed. Saginaw's strength is hit first and then beat them to the puck. The problem was, they didn't get many first hits and they were not beating them to the puck. You do that against a very good team and you lose. It's just that simple. Peace. On a side note: I too think Lepera should get the start tonight. If for no other reason than to send a message to Eddie. I think goalies, for the most part, need to be pushed. If Eddie starts to get the idea that he's the guy no matter what, his game will suffer. Besides, this kid Lepera might just surprise some folks. I have seen him play and I have complete confidence in his abilities. That said, Todd Watson is going to do what Todd Watson is going to do and I doubt highly he consults this board for ideas.
