DJ - I would think Brodie would make it. Maybe one of the other D too. If nobody makes the team, that should help the Spirit during that two-week period. My point being that short-term injures or players away for World Jr.'s is part of the game. The Spirit have seven servicable players at that position. They should be able to survive. Erie and Niagara are at the bottom of standings. If they can take 2 of 3 on the road, that would be great.

don't forget, Comrie is an American and Team USA doesn't typically select OHL players unless your last name is Ryan.

Would someone enlighted me-why was Sol suspended. I missed Friday's game. I am not seeing anything about the suspension on the OHL website. If I'm wrong on this, somebody step in. My understanding is that Sol gets an automatic 2 games for instigating a fight in the last few minutes of a game w/ a 3-goal differential or greater. (I'm thinking it's 5 min., but not sure) He could also be looking at more games if the league determines he violated their "bullying" rule, that is, he fought an unwilling opponent and/or one unable to fight back. The absence of an announcement on the OHL site doesn't mean much one way or the other, as they are incredibly slow on deciding this sort of thing. (It took them a full 7+ days to decide on a 15 game suspension for Garrett Wilson recently--a highly questionable ruling IMO, but that's another subject) As far as Lepera--if we see him this weekend (and I'm not at all sure we will) Sunday would be the LAST game I'd expect to see him play, as we take on Guelph at Guelph.

I would think we will see Eddie twice and Joe once with the first start against Erie to Ed. After that I would think it would go Eddie, Joe, and Eddie respectively this weekend or to hedge myself I think the other possiblility is Eddie, Eddie and Joe.

Looking at the online summary from Erie, Who is Kyle Flemington? We must have called a prospect up for a game or 2 on D?
Nothing on the Spirit website under prospects.

Quit the stupid bickering, people. I am just deleting the stupid stuff. It's getting redundant again.

Gang- I think overall we are all happy the Spirit is off to a pretty good start - better than expected. Some of the moves Watson has done have paid off. I personally am happy for the guy. Do you think he has any thing up his sleeve in the next few weeks: sign some 92's, or more trades. We all know we need a back up for Ed

I'm curious as to why everyone seems to want to replace Lapera. Am I the only one that believes in giving the back-up a fair chance?? You certainly can't judge him from only playing in part of 1 game and nothing more. Let him warm up to the league a little and maybe he'll work out!! I mean really, look what happened to Manny Legace!!!!
