Good start -- Chappell and Combs have the chemistry rolling! Watching online.....
Sorry - forgot the score..
3-1 Saginaw in 3rd (Chappell, Combs, Prober...I mean...Allicock...only 32 more to go, Kain! No pressure!)
Torquato for Erie. That poor kid. Hope he plays a few years of pro having to live out his on-ice misery the last 3 years with the mutts which are the Otters.
Still a cool life, but....it is Erie...and he's never won a playoff game in three seasons and he's only played in four of them....
I will say this though -- and it is time people face facts.
These European players....
SIMPLY
CANNOT
PLAY
1 goal, 3 assists in 22 games -- COMBINED!!!!!
They're on pace each for about 14-15 points, and they'll actually get less icetime now that Combs is back, and if any other acquisitions get made.
No - perhaps it's not all Edwards' fault...but I said way back in the summer that he had no pipeline in Europe and was just feeling around in the dark on these guys.
I feel bad for them. They're totally overmatched for this speed and toughness....Watson must be pulling his nicely-flattened hair out.
No 92s...no good Europeans.....just think - this team MIGHT have contended with a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick..and a younger cousin of Kvapil or Mursak...
But again -- good start tonight!

8-4 record in the first 12, I am not complaining. I hope they can keep it up. And you never know, maybe we deal for a Euro at some point, like we did to get Birner a million years ago. Who knows, but I do know that not too many people around here were expecting an 8-4 start about a month & a half ago.

The team played horrible tonight. Terrible. You can't even describe how badly they played. They won, good for them. The only reason they won was because of Pasquale. And he wasn't even a star.
Jack Combs getting the first star tonight was an absolute joke. It is very obvious he doesn't want to be here. He gets the puck twice with partial breakaways on an EMPTY NET and allows the Otters to steal it from him. Watson should bench him. His effort has been lacking since he came back. No hustle, no desire, nothing.
P.S. Team called up Kyle Flemington to fill in on the blue line tonight. Came out wearing #22 with McDonough on the back. He is wearing #3. Played okay, but did not see ice much in 3rd. Pretty much as expected.
