well I think we all knew ahead of time what the outcome was gonna be. final score was 4-1. there were only two positives I could take away from this game. #1, chris chappell continues to shine this year, in my opinion our best player for a while now scoring once again tonight. the other plus I take from this game is that our detroit redwings have a great goalie in mcollum coming to them. im torn because of course I want the spirit to win, but its nice to see mcollum doing good. very much the future goaltender someday for the wings.

I was sitting right behind the bench at the game, so I may not have had the best angles. But, the first three goals by the Storm should have been stopped by Pasquale. Two were pretty simple wrist shots, while the third was a 25 ft. shot with no screen. We needed him to play a good game for us, and he flat out didn't. He has been good so far this season, but Sunday was not one of his better games.
Guelph is a very good team and they should be contending with London for the Central Division title. McCollum is very solid in net; it took a great move by Chappell to beat him. They are very balanced in the scoring front as well, maybe to some people's surprise.
But, from a Spirit standpoint, they improved their play from Friday to Saturday to Sunday. I thought they played a pretty good game. Sunday we definitely missed Brodie. And Chappell is playing some very good hockey right now.
