Lepera has not been given legitimate chance, do they expect him to play like an all star goalie in his first few games? I say to let him get a few games under his belt and then decide. I think Wastson is just very nervous because he cant afford, or does not want to give up a few losses to let Lepera have a chance. I'm not saying he is going to lose the games he plays, but he just don't know what to expect out of him yet. Just my .02 cents ;D

i agree. 1 game is not a chance. and why "ice" him by making him wait a month between each start. give him a legitimate chance and see if the kid is capable

While I don't disagree completely, I just don't see how they can sit Pasquale with him being as hot as he has been. Maybe if Eddie has a couple bad games, but I think they really plan on riding Pasquale as long as they can while he's hot.

Is it possible to send Lapera down for a while to get some play time so he is ready when called upon?? I don't know the rules here for that.

down to where? do we have a farm-team that I have never heard of?
This is going to begin a completely different topic so start a new thread if you want but I think we're going to end up trading some of our older players for draft picks or young scoring and I think someone will throw a decent backup goalie in as part of the deal...it may take a little while but as gensfan said, ride your hot goalie while you can. Hopefully, if i'm correct, a new backup will be here to give Eddie some rest in the second half of the season.

down to where? do we have a farm-team that I have never heard of? Saginaw had some kind of affliliation with the Leamington Flyers a few seasons ago but I'm not sure if that affiliation is still in place or not.

I *think* the Spirit have some type of affiliation with the Cambridge Winterhawks of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. The thing with the Leamington Flyers only lasted a year or two.

Lapera is not playing for a reason. I'm not sure what that reason might be, but I don't think you can rule out that he might not be good enough.
