Relax. He will be the 5th or 6th Dman on that team and play what 6 minutes a game. He is not quick enough to be much of a factor especially against quicker teams. Someone please tell me how big a factor he has been in games against the Spirit over the past couple years. The whole toughness factor is really over rated on this board especially in today's game and in the playoffs it is almost no factor at all.

so if a meathead like Fletcher (during his 6 minutes) gives a check to the head to Jack Combs and he gets a concussion and is out for at least a week, it's "over-rated"?
If we have a guy like Peluso or Neuber on our team, that check never happens because even a meathead knows he's been beaten before by those guys. Just because he won't be on the ice much doesn't mean he can't wreak havoc in a short amount of time.

well put don. people talk about how we don't need a tough guy until something bad does happen, then they are calling for one right along with us. personally, id like to get neuber. that guy is a brute and has a win over peluso.

Don't be shocked if he sees much more ice time than what you are speculating currently, as Velluchi sure likes to play a rough style of game, which Fletch sure fits in real well for that. Regardless, we all know what he brings to the table, and although it seems nobody on our team is willing to "go" with him at times, I'm sure there will be some entertainment if nothing else when we meet up with them five more times this year. I can't wait for the couple of games around xmas and new years to come, should be fun.

they will be very fun. I really do wish fletcher the best. I always got along with him really good and I also think his dad is a great guy. its just business is business and his job is to play it rough and tough. brace or no brace, allicock smarts off to fletcher, he will go after him.
