Windsor wins it 6-2. A lot of fights in this game so should make for an interesting match up Friday night back in Saginaw. Would appreciate a recap from anyone who had a chance to go down and attend the game in person.

Sorry for the slow response to Tuesday night's game. Left for Minnesota right after the game and were on the road until last night.
First off, the new WFCU Centre is a spectacular venue. The folks in Windsor really did their homework. Certainly a far cry from the Barn.
It was clearly evident that the Spirit need to acquire some toughness if they are going to compete with teams like the Spits. The first two periods, we were practically run out of the building. the Spits were taking moucho liberties with our guys. Some of this I blame on the zebras (Pearce and Celestin), who let many, many late hits go unpunished. It was absolutely disgraceful how Greenop was allowed to follow Allicock around, shoving him and trash-talking. Finally, Kain had no choice but to drop 'em. I've never, ever seen such a display of utter lack of class. Richard had to know that Kain has an injured shoulder. Doesn't that violate the "code" among fighters?
Spirit finally started to fight back in the 3rd, but with guys like Greenop, Wallace, Young, Cundari. O'Donnell and the newly-acquired MacDermid on the opposing side and playing the way they did, we really couldn't stand up to them. Props to Sanderson, Szwarz and Fillman for giving it a shot, though.
Ice must have been quite bad, as both teams had guys falling all thru the game.
Left the arena at 9:30pm and didn't arrive in Kalamazoo until 1:30am (normally a little over two hours) because of the weather. That didn't help the extremely bad mood I was in after the game.
Will miss our first home game tomorrow night in 3 years, but I'll try to listen to as much as I can on the internet. Should be a dandy and good luck to the guys.

And you call yourself a dedicated fan..shesh...I think we may have to put an asterisk in the record books next to your name for the 06-07 awards banquet and revoke your walleye trophy..haha Well, I guess even the best of us are allowed to miss a game here or there, so I'm sure your friends in Section 18 will forgive you this time....but don't let it become a habit! ;D I'll text ya throughout the game in case you aren't able to listen or can't pick up the game for some reason.
