Saginaw gets their first road win of the year, courtesy of a 7-1 thrashing of the Kingston Frontenacs. The Fronts scored the first goal of the game 2:10 into the game, but Saginaw gets the next 7, including a hat trick for Tyler Murovich, 2 goals for Ryan McDonough, and Jason McDonough gets his first goal of the year. Saginaw was 4/8 on the powerplay and Kingston was 1/10. Kingston actually only had 1 shot on goal in the 3rd period. Parker VanBuskirk stopped 22 of 23 shots faced. Saginaw concludes the road trip with a stop in Ottawa on Sunday afternoon. As Stephen Colbert said last year, "I guess Frontenac is French for 'Bend over and take it, b****!'"

Kingston is terrible. Not to take away from the win. Murovich with a trick is impressive! Emmerton has to get traded from there, they're going nowhere.

Even Kingston's remaining fans (both of them) are calling for Emmerton to be traded--for his sake.

Kingston is suffering from two hockey illiterate owners meddling in hockey affairs. I know this well, as I know the Kingston history of the past 15 or so years.

Now that's more like it!!! Ottawa will be a much tougher test. Here's hoping for at least a point on Sunday to make it a 3 point weekend. Did Asselin play against Kingston?? Who was Bus's back up in net??

Based on the Spirit website game summary and a post in the NOOF game thread, Jason McDonough notched a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick" in this game. He had a goal, an assist, and a fight. Way to go Jason!!!!
