head coach of the Johnstown Chiefs, on his first ECHL win yesterday, a 4-2 triumph over the Trenton Devils. Trenton's newest player is former Spirit captain Thomas Harrison.
Herber and the Chiefs are hosting Patrick McNeill and the Stingrays twice this week, Wednesday (at 1030 A.M.--that's a MORNING game--what's up with that???) and Saturday.

Sometimes they have morning games so elementary and junior high schools can take a field trip to a game. I believe the Flint Generals did that a couple of times last year.

OK--good idea for the kids, and it makes sense. But I'll bet the players hate it!!

usually it's MLK Day when the sports teams do the early games...even pro teams do it, i had tickets a couple years ago to the "early" Pistons game.

The Great Lakes Loons had a Monday morning game in late May or early June and it was for school kids to attend.
