The gal that sits behind me was asking everybody what they thought of him. Not one person was happy with his voice. They kept saying he sounded like Howard Cosell. fwiw

Someone mentioned a color guy, and this is a good idea. Even Greg "God" Brady was much weaker as a PBP guy when he had to do an entire game by himself. Rosie has done color the last couple of games, and did OK, but whoever--a good analyst make both parties better, and perhaps this is something the Spirit team is working on, especially with Warren Holmes gone now.

What happen to Holmes? I knew he was leaving but I didn't hear why. I liked when Greg Brady and Sean Baligian did the show together. I wonder what Sean is doing? :-)

Warren is moving to Houston for a new job. Brady and Baligian were awesome. I don't know if Sean is still w/ WDFN or if his show got the ax, also. Anybody out there know?

His show "It Is What It Is" now runs from 8 am to Noon Monday thru Friday. www.wdfn.com/pages/schedule.htmlwdfn.com/pages/it_is_what_it_is.html

I've tried to be open minded but I have to agree with the majority who have posted. He is very difficult for me to listen to. It was especially bad during the Saturday night game against Plymouth that I watched on Livestream. His call of the action was always at least a second or two behind the actual play. That was really annoying.

1. its not a poll saying he stinks. its a poll to see what everyone thinks of him. also im not clarifying anything. he is a nice guy. just because i dont care for his radio calls doesnt mean i dont like him as a person, and like you said this is a message board. more directly a message board that deals with all things spirit. he is part of the spirit. as for the letter, it just may happen. but again it isnt because we hate him. as for the 0-4 ratio you came up with, id look at my last thread. seems quite a few people are turned off by his work. donjohnson, your a good guy and i respect your opinions, but dont try and put words in our mouths. noone here is saying we hate him. thats a bit harsh. we just dont care for his calls for the game. sorry mievl, i think you got the wrong idea from my reply, i was just saying that we don't need 3 locations on the board to discuss our like/dislike of Fic. Also, you strengthened my post by saying that Fic's a nice guy...that's not up for debate and shouldn't be. What I was saying is, if you (or any others) think his radio schtick is bad, say so, you don't need to add "but he's a nice guy", it doesn't really add to anyone's argument or opinion of the topic. as far as 0 out 4, that was your poll stat when I posted. It is now 3 out of 9 that don't like Fic so again, the majority of this board (who have voted) seem to like the broadcasts. BTW, even though i've done it twice, i will not keep posting an update of the poll results, so don't worry.

I was looking at the picture of Fic on the Spirit website & do any of you 'older' Spirit fans see the resemblence to the late Peter Sellers (actor from the "Pink Panther" movies)? That cracks me up! I like him more now!

I'm 43, and I do Remember him. We have a guy doing our play by play that looks like Peter Sellers and talks like Howard Cosell. Great :-)

Amen justafan. My sediments exactly. What does his appearance have to do with how he calls a game? Currently enjoying another Fic broadcast.
