It just adds to the game, keeps you involved. It also helps if you don't know a lot of the player names, that's usually how I learned them. Here's a helpful hint. If you look on the back of the player's jersey, just above the number, you will notice some letters placed there. Now each player will have different letters and some have more than others, but they actually spell out the players name. Hope this helps. Peace. Oh, I thought those letters on the jerseys were sponsonships...everything else with letters in the arena is

You see, that's the beauty of this forum. We all get to grow and learn new things in peace and harmony with the universe.
Man, am I a child of the 60's or what? Peace.

I don't think people are taking the time to read the choices before they vote. Come on people, there is nothing on this planet more annoying than Kenny G.

Oh my goodness, you mean there is someone on this board I actually agree with and agrees with me. Perhaps there is hope for the universe after all.
All kidding aside, Fic doesn't call a bad game. He is getting better as he has gotten to know the players better. His post game show it still a little hard to take because he does take too long to express his point. One of the reasons we all like hockey is because of it's fast pace. I guess if I were fishing, or I was swinging in a hammock sucking on a gin and tonic, the slow pace of his post game show would be ok. I think the recent broadcasts have been helped a great deal by Rosie's color commentary. I am glad he is doing so well, his knowledge of the game as both a player and a coach brings a great deal to the broadcast. I think if folks will just give Fic a chance, he might just grow on us. Peace.

It's an empty canvas when a radio broadcaster steps into the booth. It's their job to paint the picture for the fans of what's happening in the game so they can visualize it. Terry Ficorelli does a great job painting the picture for the listener. I can see the game through his call. He's accurate, knowledgeable and entertaining. I don't know what else you could want from a broadcaster.

I don't think you'll find one person in here who doesn't think he knows the game. It's his voice that annoying. I'll listen to him regarldless, it doesn't bother me that bad. Even if it did what choice do I have? He certainly does have his moments!

I believe I said it helps in this case, especially in a situation where the players are on the other end of the ice and your vision is not the best, and you may not be able to READ the names on the back of the jerseys... I'm well aware that you are kidding, but I'm noticing more and more lately that there are some people (BPfox you aren't usually one of them) that contribute to threads that are actually serious threads by making snotty, sarcastic comments that go nowhere in actually helping the question being asked or by helping propel the conversation onwards. Maybe we should start a sarcasm thread so these select few can get it out of their system somewhere where it isn't being anti-productive. Again, I can take a joke, just it's something that I've noticed A LOT more this season than previous.

Hey look, you can't get a -14 karma rating by sitting on your hands. If I should ever write something stupid, feel free to make fun of me. It's all good. Peace.

I know you're talking about me which is fine because (1) I offer quite a bit of extremely high-quality information to this message board and (2) I enjoy reading my own comments, they make me laugh. Like bpfox said, you don't rack up the smite points without being a dunce once in a while.

Wow, I guess there was quite a history here before my entrance. After reading some of it, I'm glad I wasn't here then. Sorry to post off topic, I'm still learning :-)
