At this point in his career, he pretty much has to work where he can find work. He was a fan favorite in St Johns when they were affiliated with Atlanta/Winnipeg. Winnipeg chose not to re-sign him. Hooking up with Montreal so he can stay in St Johns is not a bad move. I don't thing he has NHL starting goalie on his mind right now. After losing an entire season to injury, just being able to play and earn a paycheck looks pretty goo.

He was with Washington's organization after Winnipeg traded him. |

Former Spirit assistant coach Ian Herbers was named an assistant coach with the Edmonton Oilers today. He spent the last 3 years as head coach at the University of Alberta, where he had an impressive record of 119-19 overall, and two national championships.

Cody Bass signed with the Predators. He will more than likely play in Milwaukee for the Admirals.
Also Paul Bissonnette re-signed with the LA Kings organization. Their AHL team is moving from Manchester, NH to Ontario, CA after winning the Calder Cup a month ago.
I think Jordan Szwarz has one more year on his deal with the Coyotes. Patrick McNeill on the other hand has a deal I think to play in Germany next year for ERC Ingolstadt.
