Saginaw welcomes the Belleville Bulls Friday night to the Dow Event Center. We are undefeated in our last four games, three at home. Belleville will either be riding a nine game winning streak, or one loss in the last nine games, pending their game tonight against the Spits, which is tied at 3-3 as we speak.
Could be a tough game. It could also be another chance to advance in the standings. Any predictions for Friday's game?

Belleville just pulled out a 4-3 win in a shootout, in what had to be an incredibly emotional game for both teams. Van Buskirk got the start tonight--we'll be seeing Murphy in goal tomorrow night

Watched the game tonight Belleville vs Spitfires. Both teams showed a lot of class tonight. Wonderful tribute and tons of respect for both teams. Belleville came out for warm ups also wearing practice jerseys with the number 18 Renaud and stayed on the ice after the game banging their sticks in appreciation and respect for the Windsor team, fans and family followed by the shaking of hands. True class all the way by both teams. RIP Mickey

Kudos to both teams for a fine display of sportsmanship and humanity.
A tough challenge for the Spirit tonight as Belleville has an excellent record. Murphy is one of the top goalies in the league and their offense is no slouch either. The Spirit have played well against some of the better teams this year so let's hope that continues. Would be nice to pull out a win or at least get a point out of tonights game. GO SPIRIT!!!!

I cannot STAND that arrogant kid, at all. Someone needs to bring his ego down a notch.

Ouch.
Anyway, I'd just like to see Jarram go once. I realize he has, at least one time, but I haven't been able to witness it. I'm really starting to like the guy (partially after his comments to DJ's wife during the skate with the players), and I would like him even more if he drops the gloves when I'm at the arena.
I hope it's a good game. That's really all I ask. I'd love to beat Belleville, but let's at least be in it still with a couple minutes to go.
NO STUPID PENALTIES!
Let's hope Williams coughs some pucks up on the blue line like he used to when he was on our team. Of course, our boys better watch out for the obvious tripping attempt immediately after. lol

FYI - If there is a fight tonight...it will be Jarram vs. Self. They've fought 3 times over the course of their careers. If Allicock's in the lineup he could have a go with Belesky. Also, Bellville is 20th in fights (20 total)...the 19th place team is Barrie (31 total)...i don't think we should get our hopes up.

Also, Bellville is 20th in fights (20 total) Maybe this is why they are the number one team in the east, and have won their last nine games in a row, because instead of fighting, they are scoring. Ah well, maybe we can make the number 21 or 22 tonight. haha

Guess everyone's at the game but me... stupid work! 2-1 Spirit on goals by Plekatis & McDonough less than a minute apart, followed by a Bulls goal about a minute after that.
EDIT: Scoresheet says only 3409 tonight on a Friday night! Wow, everyone must be waiting for Windsor tomorrow!!!

Bingo, Bango, Bongo!!!! Szwarz makes it 4-1 Saginaw on assists from Pleckaitis and Smith.
EDIT: Saginaw wins it 4-1 to extend their winning streak to 5 games. Windsor is in town tomorrow night coming off their emotional home game (SO loss) against the Bulls Thursday night and a win tonight up at the Soo.

Great team win! The way they played tonight they could hang with anyone. I think Fic said it best when he said “this team played tonight with relentless determination.” Very Impressive! Our usher said that they brought someone in from the JLA to figure out their ice problems. Apparently he said the arena was to warm. So, from now dress warmer if you thought it was cold in there. Go Spirit!
