1:16 left, 3-2 Spirit. Windsor gets a powerplay and with the goaltender pulled it will be a 6-on-4 man advantage. The past few minutes have been absolutely nuts!

Windsor ties it with 0.8 seconds left pending replay................
The goal is good, we're tied 3-3 heading to OT. Unbelieveable...

Taylor Hall scores in OT, Windsor wins 4-3. We get a point, but this one hurts...really bad.

Why would this hurt? Everyone around this place had this club winning 12-15 games max last summer!
Just be glad you have a game that meant something in March - more than the resident experts around here anticipated.
Great job Spirit - good luck in the first round regardless of the opponent. It won't matter who you play because you'll battle any team regardless if its Kitchener, Soo, Windsor or London!

Windsor has the better team and was first to the puck most of the night.
The Spirit 17 year old defensemen, played like 17 year old defensemen.
I don't know if Combs is sick or hurt. He was awful. Other than stand around, he did little else. Poor showing by him in a big game.

1. SAG - 4 Nick Crawford 2. SAG - 8 David Jarram 3. SAG - 28 Brad Smith
Anyone mind explaining the reasoning behind these 3 stars? lol

I'm not hiding from the fact that I was one of those people who didn't expect much out of the Spirit this season (although I definitely didn't say 11 or 12 wins....) And I'm very proud for how well they've done. Yes, no matter who they play, that team is in for a battle.
But this one still hurts.
It wasn't only the 17 year old D-men who let us down tonight. That first goal was a direct result of a Sinfield turnover at the blue line.
The last goal--also on a blue line turnover by McDonough--but he got caught flat-footed on a pass from Comrie. DON'T pass the puck BACK when you're on the rush 4 on 4!! McD then had no choice but to commit the penalty, resulting in the winning goal.
Second Windsor goal went in off the heel of Brodie's skate--nobody anywhere near him. (I had an awesome view of this one, as I was getting a tour up on the catwalk. Thank you, Bill K.!!)
Agree re: Combs. Simply not a factor tonight. I am wondering if he is hurt .
We didn't play that badly. But my God. 0.8 seconds. I am really starting to think Mickey IS taking care of them........

I am really starting to think Mickey IS taking care of them........ This was the first thing that crossed my mind when they won in OT. Team of destiny, perhaps?

1. SAG - 4 Nick Crawford 2. SAG - 8 David Jarram 3. SAG - 28 Brad Smith Anyone mind explaining the reasoning behind these 3 stars? lol Those were not the three stars. #1 star should have read #4 from Windsor, Hall. He had the game tying goal as well as the game winner. For my money I would have given both goalie's stars.

The first star has to be Windsor's #4 Hall, not Crawford. Probably a simple mix up.

Last year it was Sudbury. No question who it is this year. I agree w/ bp that I would have given both goalies stars. Three or maybe 4 goals were just horrible luck deflections of one type or another. Both were very solid.
