It wasn't only the 17 year old D-men who let us down tonight. That first goal was a direct result of a Sinfield turnover at the blue line. I was right infront of that play. Looked like he shot it in and it hit off of the divider in the glass. Just horrible luck is what sums up this game. Dump in attempt that hits the divider and ends up as a 2-on-1, a shot banked off of a player and then a miscue between two players in overtime, resulting in the penalty and ultimately the goal. Hopefully they can rebound and put up a good showing against the Soo!

Why would this hurt? Everyone around this place had this club winning 12-15 games max last summer! Just be glad you have a game that meant something in March - more than the resident experts around here anticipated. Ohh....Be careful with the generalities. Some of us had them finishing 7th or 8th in the conference. Not 19th or 20th overall in the league like some "experts." This team has done what I expected but not like I expected. Some are better (Murovich/Swartz) and some are worse (won't go there) but overall it's how I, and others, thought it would be. I admit I didn't think the last 3 games could put us in 5th but the point is still the same

Since no one commented on the fight, I will. Greenop (sp?) did NOT want to fight Jarram. Jarram basically pulled his gloves off him (and his helmet btw). Jarram got a few good shots in. When they left the box, under a stop in play, the ref escorted them to the bench, and Jarram was still trying to go after him. They nearly fought right at the beginning of the game, before the actual fight, but Greenop skated away. The rest of the game, their lines weren't on the ice together. At the end of the third, both lines went out again at a stop in play. The two were yelling again and the ref was keeping Jarram away. Before they dropped the puck, Greenop yelled something, they gave him a misconduct, and HE waved to the crowd as he left.
Everyone around me thought he was afraid of Jarram and intentionally took the misconduct because of it.
Pretty funny actually. Glad I FINALLY got to see Jarram fight.
Sorry guys, about my mistake at the beginning of this thread. I was reading the standings from the OHL site wrong. Oops.

Any time you lose a lead late in a game of monumental playoff implications it hurts, especially in the closing seconds. Some of us have their heart into this team more than others. That extra point sure would have been nice. Let's hope the boys can forget about it and bring back 2 points from the Soo tonight. Glad to see TW and the boys were not taking the loss lightly. As someone else mentioned, Windsor just got the breaks at the right time, especially with the penalties.
GO SPIRIT!!

The boys were disappointed, however they are holding their head high for tonight. Wishing them luck and I'll be watching on the feed.
