Have we gone a game this year without giving up either a PP goal or a SH goal??? Just curious...... With the new rules has any OHL team?

Here's a good one--a Kitchener fan on the NOOF cheering for the Spirit--because he doesn't want to face us in the first round. That's a terrific compliment.

Sarnia beats Plymouth 5-4 in regulation. London vs. Guelph in the 1st round and Sarnia will finish at least 7th.

Dustin Jeffrey scores and the Soo wins 3-2 in OT.
Sarnia will play Windsor in the 1st round.
Spirit vs. Plymouth tomorrow...winner plays the Soo, loser plays Kitchener.

You'd think one of these OT games we would win. 1-8 in OT this year including 3 straight losses in OT. Pitiful. Kinda hung on in the 3rd tonight playing for the point, which was not a bad idea. Would rather have had 1 than 0 but then again 2 rather than 1. Oh well, we are due to beat the Whalers at home. Let's hope tomorrow is the day.

There was no reason to play for the point. Saginaw needed two points to make a difference tomorrow. They should have played that way. There was no question they were playing for the point late in the third. The problem with that is the Soo was much better 4 on 4 scoring 2 of it's 3 points that way tonight. Big game tomorrow. Regardless of how Saginaw has played the Rangers this season the playoffs are a whole new ball game and you don't want to be facing the Rangers. Plymouth didn't help us at all tonight by losing to the Sting. So, we have to take care of business ourselves. I am not dissapointed in the least on how the Spirit are playing. This is a very young team and the lessons they are learning will make them a force to be delt with next season. Let's finish the season on a high note by beating Plymouth.

What is wrong with Jeremy Smith--anybody know?? He didn't even dress for tonight's game. He hasn't played since Tuesday, when he had "the flu"....... bp and Rosie ("the great number 8") are right. Even though we're disappointed in not winning, this is a young team. With almost no exceptions, they have worked hard and given a terrific effort every night this year. This kind of experience is going to be huge over the next couple of years--we're going to look back and see where these kids started to grow up, and it was right here. But it would be great if we could take care of business against the Whalers tomorrow. We are due. We are overdue.
