I'm surprised there is no game thread yet. You guys are slacking. Or hopefully all on your way to the Soo to cheer on the Spirit.
Should be a good game tonight. I say if we can keep it 5 on 5 we have a good chance. If we start taking penalties, things could get ugly. Based on what I've read, the Soo knows what they are up against. As a matter of fact, I think they are the most prepared team to face us that we could have faced in the playoffs.
Let's hope for good play tonight, and for the guys who need to step up to do so. Figure we'll see a lot of the McDonough line and a lot of the Murovich Line tonight.
I'm going to go out on a limb and be optomistic and say 4-3 Spirit tonight. I hope we come back into Saginaw ahead in the series tomorrow night.

Hopefully we'll have a lot of Spirit fans in the house tonight. My cash flow is pretty tight for me right now so I decided not to make the trip up...but will for sure be at the Dow tomorrow.
If this series turns into a special teams battle, I agree, it could get ugly real fast. We MUST stay out of the box this series as much as possible, especially when you have a guy like Godfrey roaming the blue line.
In order to win this series, we're obviously going to have to win a game at the Soo. Let's hope it's tonight!

End of the 1st period...3-2 Soo. The Hounds will have a powerplay to start the 2nd...they had a 5 on 3 but took a penalty at the 20:00 mark.
