The Spirit have their annual road trip to eastern Ontario. The Spirit are still one point behind Windsor and two behind Kingston. Windsor still has three games in hand. Their schedule must get busy sooner or later. First up is Peterborough. It looks like DJ King is back in the lineup tonight.

They were 0 for 4 and the PK was 3 for 5 but did score a shorty (DJ Busdeker with his 5th shorty). In spite of the special teams woes, great road win.

Good to see DJ King back in the lineup, and Mitchell Smith is eligible to return tomorrow.

In watching the highlights of last night’s game in Peterborough, their rink looks like a box with rounded corners not the corners like we have in Saginaw. Have any of you been there and is that how it looks in person?

Have any of you been there and is that how it looks in person? Been there a few times and yes, the corners are tight. The Zamboni can even get in there to resurface the ice...

Have any of you been there and is that how it looks in person? One of the cool unique rinks in hockey... They re-did the boards this year and everyone was worried they were going to go to regular corners but they stuck with the squared circle to use an old wwf term.

Holy cow. Damien Giroux scores with less than three seconds left to win the game against Kingston. Five goals in the third period after getting shutdown through the first two periods.

Perfetti straight up took over in the 3rd period. What a win...tough test on Sunday.

Perfetti straight up took over in the 3rd period. What a win...tough test on Sunday. There was one shift he passed the puck to himself off the boards twice, it was awesome to see. Him, Busdecker, and Giroux have been bringing a lot of intensity lately. Also, props to Kingston, they blocked a ton of shots - at least 15. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many blocked shots in a game (until the Spirit caught fire).
