Another 2nd half road trip, another 3in3 and another 3 games against 3 very solid teams.
Brantford will be looking to get a little revenge after a great OT win on Saturday night in Saginaw. If it was OS and Guelph at home, I'd be saying those are two for-sure victories but on the road those will both be tough games.
I am assuming that Oke will be back in the action this weekend and I assume we'll see him on Friday against Brantford which will be a great matchup. I'm also hoping that Mangone will make his way back to the lineup but I'm not entirely sure what ails him...I think he smashed into the boards a couple weeks ago but it would be nice to see him back. It would also be nice to get Forgione back in the lineup...he's played a lot better this year and getting some fresh legs on defense would sure be a bonus at this time of the year.
Should be a fun weekend of hockey!!!

I'll be up for the first two games - it's like a game of lights out trying to visit all the arenas (I never did get to Brampton, but will have to be back there next year when Mississauga moves).
I think Mangone makes a lot larger of an impact than it seems like. He doesn't have a ton of flash like some others but he has speed and net presence, and I think he really contributes in other ways than what's on the board.
Looking forward to another exciting week of hockey!

My spouse and I will be going to Brantford to keep the OHL arena list up to date. We got Brampton way back in the day. We have a commitment on Sunday, so we have to return on Saturday from Canada.
Interesting that we will have seen the Bulldogs franchise in its third location now.

We'll be heading to Brantford as well (I think I might wear my Wheels jersey for nostalgia sake). Looks like it will be a good day for travel. We did Barrie a couple weeks ago and the weather was a nightmare that day. I never made it to Brampton way back when, so I'm looking forward to heading there next season. Sadly I missed out on Belleville when it was an OHL city.
Up by 4 points in the division with 11 games left. I think if we can make it through this weekend with at least that lead then I think we should be in good shape as our schedule lightens up quite a bit the next couple of weekends. Brantford and Owen Sound look like tough road games, but Guelph has completely cratered since the trade deadline, so hopefully we can put them away early.

Mangone and Oke are both in the starting lineup tonight which is great. Forgione is also listed on the roster but he may be scratched at gametime.

Nice come from behind win in overtime...again. Also, second time getting booed on the jumbotron at a Canadian arena. Great way to be back to 20 OHL arenas.

Gained a point on both London and Soo as well since they both lost in overtime.

Nice road win again tonight, this time against Owen Sound. This team seems to be running on all cylinders and peaking at the right time.

Biggest concern right now is the power play. Went 0 for 5 last night and has not been good lately. Gave up a short handed goal to Brantford.

Spirit complete the weekend sweep with a 5-2 win in Guelph Sunday afternoon. Back at in Flint for the 8th and final time this regular season on Wednesday. Back home next Friday against Kingston and next Saturday against Guelph. Only 8 games remaining in the regular season, 3 at home and 5 on the road.

Perfect outcome on the week. End Sunday 7 up on the Soo. Soo does have a game but as others have said, the schedule does ease up some for the next couple weeks. Also 1 pt back of London. 3 up on in ROW on them. So if we tie them, I believe we would be the 1 seed. Just keep taking care of business.

ROW is the 1st tiebreaker when determining playoff seeding if teams are tied in the standings. Only exception is a tie for 8th. In that case a 1 game playoff is used to determine 8th seed. Home team for the 8th place playoff is determined by ROW followed by head to head.
