My other two favorites are Tyler Murovich and Ryan McDonough. Not that you asked :-)

Wow, that sounds like a thread topic---"Favorite Spirit Player of All Time". Saad isn't my all-time favorite, but he's in the top 3 Best All Time. He'd be #1 if I'd seen more than 1 great season from him (the other season with us, he was significantly slowed by injuries, and the other two, he didn't report). Jan Mursak and Vince Trocheck would round out the top 3. Saad is probably going to have by far the best NHL career of anyone we've had so far, but that's not what I judge on. WOW, sf8!!! What happened to Patrick McNeill and Tommy Harrison?

Was at the Joe today for Saad's two goal performance. I had to look odd standing and cheering for a Blackhawk goal while wearing my Wings jersey.

Saad, probably my favorite Spirit player of all time. Sure wish he was playing for a different team. Hate the Blackhawks. Yet ANOTHER reason to be glad for NHL realignment, Saad can't haunt the Wings all season, 2 games for sure 9 games at most...

Now I'm trying to decide my third favorite Spirit all-time.... ice eagle--worthy entries, for sure!

NHL.Com Geico Quote of the day
If he doesn't score one night, he’s hungry to get back at it the next night and he never counts himself out. He’s got that confidence that not a lot of guys have at this level, regardless of the skill set. He wants to go use it and go make something happen every single night. He never takes a night off. — Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews on teammate Brandon Saad after the rookie's two-goal, three-point performance against Detroit

Brandon Saad does in the Wings again. He scored the game winner in the shootout last night to give the Hawks a 3-2 win. It was a sweet move too. He froze Howard and went top shelf on his backhand. Saad's shootout goal starts at the 4:20 mark of the video clip. m.youtube.com/index?&desktop_uri=%2F#/watch?v=9OaqdQ8nhXk

Ow. Wasn't Liambas always a pretty tough guy when he played in the OHL? Garrett should have gone after someone less accomplished! Still and all--he's in the pros. Way to go GR.
