Regarding next year's potential OAs... Jake Goldowski was selected by the Dubuque Fighting Saints in Phase II of the USHL Draft yesterday. Our dear friend OHLInsiders says he was trying to be moved out of Saginaw all year. That wouldn't surprise me...he seems like a good "team" guy joking around a lot and seems to be liked by his teammates but if he's looking to be a higher end player he would need to go to a lower team to get more ice time with the top lines. Personally I don't think he has the hands to be a top line guy or a big scorer but we've seen over the years both ways that a change of scenery can lead to scoring improvements. I don't think he was ever an OA candidate so I'm happy to see that he may have an opportunity in Dubuque and I wish him well there.

So if you don’t think he is a candidate then who will the three player be??

I think Jenkins will be back as an OA...even though I can see him as a good AHL player, I don't see him making a team next year.
I think you could see Katic or Antropov...I think Antropov is more likely here.
Then I think there will be a defenseman...I still think it's a remote chance that Solovyov ends up back here as an import OA (rare but he'd be worth it) and I think King will be on the roster at the beginning of the year.
I would venture to guess that one or more of the OA's we finish the season with are someone we don't even know yet. I think the canceled season is going to make a mess for people trying to get to the next level and there's going to be some high-end OA's on the market that you can get for cheap because people will have to dump them from their roster.

Yeah his interview with Joey comes across like he asked out. He definitely doesnt appear to appreciate how he was used in NB and appears excited to play in a more up tempo offensive system

I think we've (after all these years) finally found the right coach for the Spirit. The system that Lazary has put in place is something that entices the top prospects to not only report here but defect from NCAA commitments. I'm sure we're not the only one doing this system but it reminds me of the top QB who doesn't to UofM or Alabama but instead goes to Texas Tech or some place where he's going to throw the ball 70 times a game instead of 30 at one of the other "traditional" programs. Sounds like we may have gotten a steal from NB and all credit to Drinkell on that!

Still love to see what is planned for first line RW? Could we have an import or trade on the horizon?
