I am in love with Albin Grewe and all I’ve done is read the scouting reports. It sounds like we have our DJ Busdecker replacement. (Not that anyone can ever totally replace DJ) He’s coming, all right. He’s a Wings early third round pick who hasnt signed yet.
I am intrigued by our first pick. A Russian D who wont be 17 til November. That is very young for an import pick

Actuallt, it sounds like we might be getting our very own Brad Marchand.

Does he not get paid in Sweden where he plays now? I thought that is why the guys in the Swedish league often get overlooked. By all accounts he looks like quite a player.

He does if hes in the pros, but last year bounced up and down and couldn't stick on the mens lineup. If he comes could be because he isnt getting ice. 20 minutes a night in the O is better than 5 a night in Swedish mens league. Especially if the Wings will sign him and get him his signing bonus. Wont be hurting for cash at that point.

sounds to me like they found a much younger replacement for Ilya and also a younger Coskey. Time will tell but I think Saginaw way better today then yesterday.

The Hockey News did a write-up on the CHL Import draft. They mentioned Saginaw taking Albin Grewe and Pavel Mintyukov. The article says Mintyukov is definitely coming over and all signs point to Grewe playing for Saginaw as well. If true, there is your top line winger for Suzuki and Perfetti.

I'm still upset over how this year ended since I felt we were a legitimate contender and all, but I'm getting real optimistic about next season after the import draft, and the off season trade and signings we've made.
If this was 10 years ago I'd already be worried about how soon we would be trading Perfetti off to a contending team, but this seems like we have a great core to really make a run this year. Is it too early to start the "all-in" talk?

They better have a freaking season this year...I don't care if I don't go to a game until March but this team that's been assembled NEEDS to see the ice together.

I’m still dying at missing last season’s end. I’ll totally lose it if we dont see this team on the ice this year.

I think this Team May have what it takes to win. Looks like both London and Kitchener will be much worse. Biggest competition in West may come from SSM.

I’m not locked on Flint. Hard choices to make on OAs and will lose some good players. Think they will also be a very small team ....,losing size and grit.
