Anyone know what happened to Davies? He came off the ice in the 1st period under much duress. Looked like he was holding his wrist. Went to dressing room and never returned. Slash above the glove?
Hate to lose him. He's been one of our few decent players of late.

Looked like he got jammed into the corner of the glass at the end of the bench. Not sure if it is his wrist or shoulder, the way he came off the ice it looked like it was his shoulder. He was kind of holding his arm close to his torso and it looked a lot like how I held my arm after one of my multiple shoulder separations. Hate to lose him after already only having one extra skater.

They can not beat Flint, they can not beat Guelph and they can not beat Sudbury (who were playing 3 in 3 on the road). I think it is safe to say that they are the worst team in the league right now.

I've noticed that not once this year have we seen "we just have to put this one behind us and get ready for the next game" comment on here. It seems that even members of the "I just want a chance to win every night club" has had enough as well.

And I was told I am negative. But you can not argue three games that should of been WINS. Obviously there is a serious disconnect somewhere Coach and GM ?? Inexperience leadership up top ??

I agree, there is a huge disconnect somewhere. Is it between Gilbert and the players, or Drinkell and Gilbert? That is the question. We now have a young, inexperienced GM that is only there part time, so I am sure he plays the GM card to Gilbert over the phone and states what he wants to see. The more this goes on, I am thinking that Drinkell is behind some of the decisions of line combinations and special team units. I do believe Gilbert is a good coach and can do a good job, but it looks like he is somewhat coasting to get this year over, you wont see him next year at all. If Jimmy P was still the GM, we would be in a better spot. I am sure a Barrie coach will be here soon or worst case at the beginning of the season next year.

I really do not have a problem with the GM not living here. He needs to be out watching a lot of games every week. There are no such games being played in this area. Jim P was not here for every game, nor should he have been. GM in this league is not an office job, you need to be out the majority of time.

After some things heard last night I am more inclined to believe Drinkell is the issue. The Wells exit, the goaltender decisions, the quitting of Chase Stewart seem to point to an inexperienced GM trying to exert his authority. Would not be surprised to see Gilbert leave after this season and a new HC and Kisil still here as an assistant GM and associate coach. This team has no heart and for the first time in his time here I saw Bennett coasting on a shift. Hope the northern trip will change the dynamics and get the effort back on the ice.

While I completely understand a GM is on the road a lot, I agree with others who think he should be in Saginaw all the time when he's not. There is a disconnect there, and I would bet he is not as close to the situation in Saginaw as he needs to be. Although I am certain he and the Spirit would say he is. The Spirit once didn't hire Moe Mantha to coach because he wanted to commute from Ann Arbor each day....

Two predictions:
1. Gilbert has coached his last game for the Spirit.
2. If he decides to coach in this league next year his teams will be more successful. This organization is extremely dysfunctional and I believe his decision making was severely limited.
