After a five-hour drive in a bus and a boring night in a hotel, I'd rather be in the Spirits' shoes than the Gens!

After tonight's action here is where things stand. With it being so tight and total wins being the 1st tie breaker I have listed the total wins as well. In terms of the 1st tie breaker Sarnia is in the best position at the moment.
5) Plymouth: 69 points, 8 games left, 32 wins (lost to Sarnia) 6) Guelph: 69 points, 7 games left, 30 wins (beat Missy) 7) Saginaw: 68 points, 8 games left, 31 wins (beat Belleville) 8) Sarnia: 68 points, 7 games left, 33 wins (beat Plymouth)
Who woulda thunk it!! Enjoy the ride Spirit fans, wish I could be there watching in person with my Lower Level Section 18 brethren.

Only other game to look out for tonight other than our game is Belleville at Plymouth. Guelph and Sarnia both have the night off, so after tonight everyone will have 7 games left.

Updated standings after this weekend's games...
5) Plymouth: 71 points, 6 games left 6) Saginaw: 69 points, 6 games left 7) Guelph: 69 points, 6 games left 8) Sarnia: 68 points, 6 games left
Saginaw owns the tiebreaker at the moment over Guelph due to more victories on the season. Guelph and Sarnia both lost today on top of us losing, so we didn't take too much of a hit today. So we're hanging in there and it's nice to see us not in the #8 slot at the moment, but we need a win on Wednesday to put some distance between us and Sarnia. The Sting are struggling right now so hopefully we're catching them at a good time.

I LOVE the prospect of playing London or Windsor MUCH more than the Soo or Kitchener! Anybody with me there? So let's hope we can keep the 5 or 6 slot!!! I honestly believe that if we play Windsor or London we stand a VERY good chance of advancing to the 2nd round!

We seem to match up well against Windsor as evidenced this past weekend in the close game. Could be a good series.
As for London, I think they might be our best chance to get through to the next round.
Wouldn't that be something? Last year we had the team that was expected to win it all, and we didn't make it through the first round. This year, we have a team that wasn't expected to make the playoffs, and we have a chance.
I don't want to get ahead of myself though.

I think we match up pretty good against both teams and a series between us and Windsor or London could easily go the distance. As long as we take care of business in the final week and a half we definitley have a shot.
