No deal yet (I think that THN guy who first mentioned it yesterday is often pre-mature about these things), but London clears another forward spot by trading Nicholas Yearwood to Sudbury for a 10th round pick. Elsewhere: Sarnia trades Chandler Romeo and a 2nd round pick in 2026 to Guelph for a 2nd and a 4th, both in 2023. Owen Sound trades Julian Fantino to Sault Ste. Marie for Landen Hookey. The teams also swapped 15th round picks in 2026 as part of the deal for some reason. Per the GM in OS, it is a joke between the two GMs. They joked that no deals could be made without including picks so they swapped.

Mintyukov has been traded to Ottawa per a reliable source on Twitter. No details on return.

Thanks for nothing, Kingston. You actually did something WORSE than trading him to London.

Per Jeff Marek, the return for Mintyukov will be 9 draft picks, with multiple 2nd and 3rd rounders involved. Doesn't sound like we're getting any players off their roster, which in a way is a bit disappointing (to me, anyway) as they have some good young talent who would fit nicely with the current window. I wonder if we'll flip some of those picks before the deadline or wait til the offseason.

I've asked this before...with moving Pavel, do we have the ability to sign either of our import draft picks (Hauser - Czech) or (Misiak - Slovakia)? It would be great to get Hauser since he played with Sapovaliv in the World Jrs.
Also that is a BOATLOAD of picks

A couple other trades so far this morning....less than two hours until the deadline
Hamilton trades forward Brenden Anderson to Sarnia for a 2026 6th round pick
Kingston trades defenseman Braden Hache to Barrie for five picks (a 2nd, a 4th, a 5th, conditional 2nd, conditional 5th). The Fronts are doing their part to stock the draft cupboard for their Memorial Cup bid.

The intriguing prospect of Jovanavich was brought up. Although at this point, I’m doubting we’ll ever see him in the ice. Boatload is right. And there’s no 12th round conditionals either. High end picks.

It cost us (3) 2nds and (2) 3rds to get Hunter Haight who seems like an awfully darn good player (1.54 points per game) and we get him for a year and a half.
It cost Ottawa (3) 2nd, (4) 3rds, and (2) 4ths to get half a season of Mintyukov.
Trust the process

Flint acquires 19-year-old forward Nolan Dann from Niagara for six picks (a 2nd, 2 3rds, 3 4ths). I thought the Firebirds should have started selling once Windsor and London began loading up, but it looks like they're going to press their luck. Dann had a great year last year but has really struggled this season (such is life in Niagara), so maybe he'll get things going in Flint.

Very high price for an underachieving 19 year old, especially if he doesn’t return as an OA next season.

Spirit may have jumped the gun announcing this one because they've pulled the tweet down but it looks like we're upgrading Gauvreau on the back end.
