Day is a year younger and NHL drafted, so there is that. Not saying necessarily trading Oke, move LaLonde.
Here's another point you can all disagree on, the Spirit need more physicality and sandpaper up front for the playoff run. This quality really shows in playoffs. Clattenburg is now in Flint. He fits the mold perfectly. The opposition will go hard after Parekh, just like they did last playoffs. You know London will, big time. Friday's game could be interesting since I think it is their last meeting this season. London may want to send a message for the playoffs.

I think we did get tougher... Donovan, Hay, Dionocio, Bloom, Hache all bring a toughness that we didn't have last year. I still would have liked to see Punnett but we don't have an OA spot open.
As long as Zane doesn't retaliate, he should be able to draw some penalties because like you said, everyone will be going after him

By my count, Saginaw is now out of player cards so no new players can be added. With all the cards used up, what happens if one of the goalies gets hurt and will miss some games? Can Fullerton still be recalled?

I'm sure there's some different rules on goalies but my guess is Papineau would be called up

The over-ager trade deadline is today at 12 p.m.
Flint has traded captain Zacharie Giroux to Sudbury in exchange for two 3rd round picks in the 2026 Draft.

The over-ager trade deadline is today at 12 p.m. Flint has traded captain Zacharie Giroux to Sudbury in exchange for two 3rd round picks in the 2026 Draft. Glad we won't see him in Flint anymore...kind of makes me think we got fleeced a little for Loukus since (to me) they seem like pretty equivalent players. That said, we got Bloom out of it so I'm good with it.

One difference is that Zach is from Sudbury, so he's finishing his OA year at home. I wouldn't be surprised if he requested the trade, especially upon learning that Flint was selling.

Apparently we may have a card left. May have another deal on the way.

And now Flint has decided to add (?), getting OA forward Oliver Peer from Windsor for five draft picks.
Flint receives: -Oliver Peer
Windsor receives: -2nd round draft pick (2025 KGN) -3rd round draft pick (2026 PBO) -3rd round draft pick (2026 BAR) -4th round draft pick (2027 BAR) -11th round draft pick (2026 MIS)
There are smarter people than me here who can maybe explain it better, but I just don't get what Flint is going for here. Just a strange series of trades for them at this deadline. Some with very good returns and others head-scratching, IMO.
I will also guess that Giroux probably requested a trade out of Flint at some point. A cool story that he gets to go home, at least. I remember going to Sudbury when Damien was here and I'm pretty sure his family and friends filled an entire section by themselves.

Someone did the math. We are at 28 cards currently

If Peer was an 04 with the ability to have an OA season I could maybe make sense of it. I'm baffled.

Someone did the math. We are at 28 cards currently Apparently Dillon Clark said on the radio this morning that Saginaw had 1 card left, meaning they have used 29 cards.

Guess we've used it now...

Saginaw has acquired forward Aidan Castle from Windsor for a 2026 11th round draft pick. He has 2 goals and 5 assists in 20 games this year.

Former Spirit defenseman Connor Punnett will end his junior career with the Oshawa Generals. He was acquired for a 3rd, 6th, and fellow OA Thomas Stewart.
