Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a slewfoot is an automatic 2-game suspension. What a disaster tonight was, but it's a best-of-3 now and we got home ice. Still in okay shape.

Sapovaliv average 1.14 pts/game during regular season Playoffs GP 8 Goals 1 (empty net) Assists 2 The Soo has done a great job of making Misa irrelevant this series too. I keep forgetting he's on the ice.

Slewfoot major to Hache. Was the right call. Now review for suspension. Conspiracy theorists in the Soo are going to have a field day. I think it would look bad if he didn't get extra game as part of match. Lot of pressure to put on his dad. What the Soo fans don't realize is that his dad would recuse himself and someone else from the league office would make this decision and it's likely even the McConnell-Barker lack of a suspension was made by someone else too. Plus, it is possible for people to have integrity and make the right decision based on the facts and not be partial to their son's team. It's likely going to be a 2-gamer...there's always talk about "buying back" penalties but I have no idea how that works and if it would even be relevant in this situation. All I know is that it wasn't for Prosvetov years ago and I doubt it will be in this case too.

Hache has been suspended for 2 games. It was posted in the Media Notes on the OHL website late this afternoon. As far as buying back suspension, a slew foot match penalty suspension can’t be bought back.

Justin Murray’s suspension wasn’t bought back either in 2019.

I keep hearing about this mysterious “buying back suspensions” but I have yet to see it ever happen. donjohnson, thanks for taking that soo guy to task on the hf board. What a joke. Made me feel somewhat better when some other soo guys went after him.

This series is starting to look like the 2018-19 team when Ivan Prosvetov and Justin Murray were suspended during the playoffs and the Spirit ended up getting knocked out by Guelph in the Western Conference finals.

No real surprise about Hache. Just hoping we have Parekh back this weekend. Not to be all doomy and gloomy, but without him, I think we're probably toast. I still get bad flashbacks about the 2019 WCF. Hard not to notice some similarities.
And yeah... +1 to donjohnson for that post on the HF Boards. Glad I wasn't the only one who felt that way.

Glad to do it... We don't always agree in here but we ALWAYS are decent to each other and don't spread rumors... If we don't know something we ask questions and if no one knows, we leave it as an unknown. That poster was an absolute dbag and people shouldn't have to read his garbage.
Now... Go win that freaking game tonight!

I've been on this board from day 1 and look here multiple times a day though I rarely post here. I've also been lurking on the HF boards for at least 10 years but never actually created an account. The guy DJ is referencing is the worst person I remember seeing on that website. I'm also feeling the Deja Vu of 2019 all over again. The good news is 'we' get another shot at it in a month if it all falls apart this weekend. Vaguely related, I joined the FB group and only lasted about a day and a half there, so many of the folks on there have zero clue how Major Junior Hockey works. This board and the one that proceeded it (I was on that one, too) have been the sensible options since the demise of the OHL board I've forgotten the name of. NOOF?

I understand why people get the 2019 vibes. Always seems to be something. We get Ryan O'Mara. He goes down. We finally win the division, Windsor doesn't sell. 2019. 2020 looked like we would run the table, then covid. Just got to break through one of these times. Please god just this series at least because I might be joining DJ if I have to deal with Fisch and HF92 (houndsinsider) after a loss.
