The 2nd period was one of the worst periods I’ve ever seen by Saginaw. Special teams - both offense and defense - look clueless.
Zayne has been off since his injury/illness, and we miss Hache. Everyone on Facebook saying we need more physicality but that’s not what we need - we need speed. We’re getting beat to a ton of loose pucks, to pucks in corners, and it’s apparent on the odd man rushes.
Hope the Spirit come ready to play on Tuesday - feels like we’ve been chasing the hounds a large part of this series.

Didn't get to see it because of the technical difficulties but it sounded like we came out blazing with a ton of great chances and were shut down similar to game 5.
2nd period was just awful and it's magnified watching with the homer Soo announcers. I expect a home broadcast crew to be at least a little partisan but you still have to have some objectivity... Spoiler alert, there's none.
Wonder if we'll see papineau in the 3rd to give lalonde a breather for game 7... Need to get past that and then maybe Oke will be back for London.
Tough series when you lose your #1 goalie, #1 scorer and your captain...we'll have Hache back for game 7...hope it gives us a spark!

We played a really strong road period in the first up to when they scored with 5 seconds left, then it all fell apart quickly. The second period might have been the worst period we played all season. I hate to be *that* guy watching on the couch or in the stands, but man...sometimes you just gotta shoot the puck instead of looking for one more pass or one more deke. Felt like we did that a lot tonight. I was somewhat surprised we didn't put in Papineau for the 3rd to give Lalonde a breather. Can't really fault him.
In my opinion the Soo's TV announcers are solid and fair for the most part. Their two radio guys are big time homers, but I guess that's junior hockey announcers for ya.
We really missed Hache tonight. While he might not be the best defenseman on the team, he brings a level of physicality on the blue line, and the Hounds really exploited that. Parekh was targeted pretty much every time he was on the ice (perhaps deserved), and Mignosa's takedown of him was pretty bush league (again, also maybe deserved). Almost wish he was just suspended for one game for that Game 5 incident considering how the night went.
Really important to get the first goal on Tuesday. We haven't played with a lead since Game 3. Hopefully having Hache back will help set the tone.

Also forgot to mention the James Guo/high sticking incident. Kinda surprised me because Guo doesn't seem like that type of player, but I have to think that's a lengthy suspension for him upcoming.

For what it’s worth, there was no game misconduct or match penalty called on the Guo high stick. It was just the 5 minute major. Still doesn’t mean this goofy league won’t dole out some supplemental discipline.

It should be a suspension, that was two hands and blatant...I watched the video of it...classless!

100% that's a suspension.
Guo is not even close to a repeat offender (I'm honestly staggered he did something like that) and maybe he was upset about his fight or something but he needs to be sat down for that reckless behavior. I would say a minimum of 4 and could be more like 6-10 is probably deserving for something like that.
If for some reason we don't win tomorrow, I'd be fine with him not playing in the memorial cup (not sure how suspensions are handled for that tournament...guessing they're honored). That stuff doesn't belong in hockey.

100 percent a suspension, and like everyone, I’m very surprised it’s Guo.
Exactly what did Parekh do to “deserve” 2 hits that led to injuries? You completely lost me w that comment.
Overlooked in all the brouhaha: Soo went for another hot dog goal up 5-0 in the third. That’s the respect they show us. Do something about it guys.

I missed the hot dog attempt but that’s because I was more focused on the Jets-Avs game. Between the legs or a “Michigan”?

Between the legs.
Zayne got away with a cross check to the head in Game 5, so it was not surprising for them to go after him in Game 6. The Soo fans/team/announcers also believe he went off after the Game 3 hit to try and get a penalty and then came back to the bench afterward, essentially embellishing the injury. I believe the announcers even made a comment during last night's game implying that he sat out Game 4 to further the story line. Zayne has a reputation of embelishment, whether that is warranted or not. It's a league-wide reputation. I will say, he's a great player to have on your team, but I'd probably dislike him if he was on another team too. He knows he's irritating. That's part of his game.

I was referring to when he cross-checked a Hounds player in the back of the head, I believe in the first period of Game 5. Maybe "deserve" wasn't the right word to use, but I was a bit surprised he didn't get further punished for it.
