I keep hearing about this mysterious “buying back suspensions” but I have yet to see it ever happen. donjohnson, thanks for taking that soo guy to task on the hf board. What a joke. Made me feel somewhat better when some other soo guys went after him. IIRC the last time it was done was 2016(?). It doesn't really happen that often and no one is truly sure what kind of things are or aren't able to be "bought". It would be more for something like some one rolling into the playoffs with a suspension for going over the fighting limit i think. |

I feel like I got a good cardio workout just sitting on the couch and listening to overtime.

Wow, that was one of the best hockey games I have ever seen. Both teams played a good physical game with few cheap shots. Lalonde was absolutely outstanding! The first 10 minutes or so of the game it seemed like the Spirit could have scored at least 2 or 3 goals but just couldn't get anything in the net.

Something about Spirit games on April 19. 5 years ago to date of that Game 2 OT thriller against Guelph, and now this one. What a game. One more to go...gonna be tough.

The first 10 minutes or so of the game it seemed like the Spirit could have scored at least 2 or 3 goals but just couldn't get anything in the net. Totally agree with this except for the cheap shots... I honestly think that Zayne should have received a 5 and a game for his cross check to the back of the guys head early in the game... It was totally unnecessary and a dangerous play and it reinforces my thoughts on him as a player. That said, I'm really glad he didn't because he is the motor for this offense and it was nice to have him back in lineup. Man that first 10min of the 1st was intense hockey... If we come out like that tomorrow, we're going to pot a few and it could be over quickly. |

That Guelph game is probably the best game I've ever been to... Last night was a great game but I don't think it compares to the Guelph one. Last year's Flint series was also one for the ages as a complete series... Haven't had my heart beat that fast for so many days in a long time |
