For Parekh, a season of playing the way he does, payback can be a pregnant dog.

I believe the announcers even made a comment during last night's game implying that he sat out Game 4 to further the story line. If this was true, which of course it isn't, it would make history for the longest embellishment of all time. Zayne may play a pest sort of game but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that he did not sit out game 4 just so the Soo would take more heat for the hit. It's a ridiculous narrative started by message board posters and facebook commenters and then the Soo announcers read that stuff and feed into a false narrative. Then the message board clowns can sit back and pat themselves on the back for getting everyone riled up. The Soo can keep retaliating against Zayne but I'm still flabbergasted that there has been no retribution for the hit on Oke. Since I can't imagine they'd bring him in cold for a game 7, it's been 5.5 games that we've been without our starting goaltender and no one has made a peep.

1000% with you DJ. Obviously your top scorer doesn't sit out a game to embellish a penalty. That's insane. Oke going out is not the reason we've lost games in this series, as two of the three we also failed to score in, but it definitely rattled our team and I'm still shocked there was not additional from it, especially since I heard at the rink there would be. I'm not sure what changed from that night. I get that BMB doesn't have a reputation, but when you lose one of your most important players for that many games for an illegal hit, there should be additional penalty.

James Guo suspension has been posted in the Media Notes section on the OHL website. He is suspended indefinitely at this time so he is out for game 7 against Sault Ste Marie. How many total games he will miss is yet to be determined.

Not surprising...gives them a little more time to figure it out and I wonder if they will do some sort of in-person or virtual meeting with him? I've never met James but he sure seems like he's one of the quietest guys out there...so strange to see him do something like this.

First a fight early in the 3rd period and then the high sticking major. As far as I know that fight was his 1st in the OHL. Something obviously set him off.

Can confirm. Heard this from impeccable source last night. At this point, we’re probably better off w someone healthy, and it kills me to say that.
As far as the alleged cross check to the head in G5, my take is Zayne didnt get punished because head was not the initial point of contact. Came home and studied it, and that’s what I saw. Apparently that’s what the league saw too. But it doesnt matter. These guys need to completely forget the first 6 games. They’re capable of a win, even w/o Parekh and Oke.

For Parekh, a season of playing the way he does, payback can be a pregnant dog. That’s pretty much a pregnant dog comment. He talks. A lot. He also backs it up. Please explain how that excuses the physical beating—and I’m not talking about just hard hits, those are OK—that he’s been taking. If you dont like his game, that’s fine, but I think you stepped over the line.

Aiden Castle in over Lincoln Moore. Interesting! I wonder if Moore is dinged up too? Tonight’s scratches are Parekh, Guo, Moore, and Storch. Soo is without Owen Allard. Saginaw’s best players need to be better than Soo’s best players. Time for Owen Beck, Josh Bloom, Alex Christopolous, Matyas Sapovaliv, Rodwin Dionicio, and Jorian Donovan to step up.

Like it or not Sault Ste Marie beat him up and knocked him out of the series with no repercussions. He will be a top 10 draft pick in the NHL but anyone that thinks he’s ready for the NHL after this OHL playoff series is kidding themselves.

You’re way off topic. At no time have I said he’s ready for the NHL. In fact, I’m on record as 100 per cent certain he’s back next year. What’s going on right now has zero to do w the NHL.

Saginaw defeat the SOO in probably their biggest win in team history. It was an absolutely phenomenal performance by the Spirit all around. We will have our work cut out with regards to London but I'm so happy we ended the Greyhounds season, good riddance.
I'll be making the drive up to London for Sunday's game - there's a handful of seats that are available in the lower bowl. If you're interested, I suggest buying now and worrying about it later.

For Parekh, a season of playing the way he does, payback can be a pregnant dog. I female dog does not need to pregnant to be called that. The term applies to female dogs in general:
